How We Work

Westland Labs is a consultancy, not a product company. Every engagement is different. You'll work directly with the founder on client projects ranging from multi-agent systems to knowledge pipelines to full AI transformations.

We value people who can own a problem end-to-end: understand what the client needs, design the architecture, build it, deploy it, and make sure it holds up. No hand-offs to other teams. No waiting for specs. You ship.

Senior AI Engineer

Contract or permanent. Remote-friendly (EU time zones).

You've built and deployed AI systems in production. You're comfortable with the full stack: agent architectures, retrieval pipelines, evaluation frameworks, deployment, and monitoring. You've seen what breaks and you build to prevent it.

  • 3+ years shipping ML/AI systems to production
  • Strong Python. Comfortable with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar
  • Experience with vector stores, RAG pipelines, and evaluation
  • Can own a project from architecture to deployment

AI Engineering Contractor

Project-based. Remote-friendly (EU time zones).

We bring in specialist contractors for specific client engagements. If you have deep experience in a particular area (agent systems, NLP pipelines, recommender systems, or production ML infrastructure) we'd like to know you exist before we need you.

  • Deep expertise in at least one AI/ML domain
  • Track record of delivering production systems
  • Comfortable working autonomously with minimal oversight
  • Available for 4-12 week engagements
